Job Summary
HR World Limited, on behalf of a client, is hiring an Application Engineer – Power Systems. The role involves providing technical expertise in the assessment, sizing, installation, and support of power systems (including generators), while ensuring alignment with customer needs and company standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Test and commission all generators, including AMF/ATS and sync panels.
- Conduct load surveys, load sizing, and advise on proper generator sizing for intended applications (using load analyzing tools).
- Support the sales team with technical issues and inform them about new technologies or specific customer requirements.
- Visit project sites to gather valuable information for sales.
- Act as a consultant in supporting customers and sub-contractors with technical issues.
- Advise sub-contractors on CAT installation standards for generators.
- Gather technical information from the Contractors Registration Board on new/updated regulations and share with the team.
- Supervise sub-contractors during project implementation, ensuring timely execution and alignment with plans.
- Follow up on customer feedback related to product or installation issues after commissioning.
- Provide customer product training on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting (during or after commissioning).
- Ensure compliance with power system standards.
- Analyze and resolve customer complaints effectively.
- Prepare and submit detailed site visit/job execution reports to management.
- Investigate and solve any technical issues arising on-site or from customer complaints.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or any other related field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a related role.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Electric power generation
- Generator installations
- IEE regulations
- Solar systems
- Attention to detail and strong IT, communication, and negotiation skills.
